Welling Wanderers will play Cray Wanderers in their first Kent youth league games on 6th September.

Season 2009/10 - Kent League as Welling Wanderers Football Club

Up until the 2009 season we played our football as Villacourt. We were originally hoping to play in the Kent League as Crofton Albion, but this was not possible because of them not being a Charter Standard club.

We have been offered and accepted the chance to play in the Kent league as Welling Wanderers Football Club.

End of Season Match - Rays Dream Team vs Steve's Dream Team - Battle of the Assitants

To end the season on a high and a bit of fun we are going to play a match on Saturday which both Ray and Steve will select a side. Tonight after training two teams will be pick, with each coach taking turns. No player can be played out of position, this means the player must have played in the position at least once this season.

We have some new boys who have been trying out over the last few weeks and these will be inclued for the match along with Danny Bradley and Nathan Horrigan. The match will be a full 11 a side game (30 mins each way). Rays team will play in Yellow and Steves team will be in White. Capt will be pick by the assitants (Ray and Steve). I hope to sort out a prize for the winning team.

I will look into food and drink for all the boys and parents, I will ask Crofton about a BBQ. If anyone else has any ideas, like a parent 6 a side game etc then let me know.

As you know we have been really lucky to get a sponsor from the NHS for the sum of £2500 plus a kit for the season 2008/09.

Villacourt Rovers Football Club - End of Season Presentation - 2008/09

23rd May 2009 - Tickets are now on sale. £5.00 for anyone over the age of 16 and all kids under 16 go free. The awards which will be handed out are as follows:

  1. Club Award (This is for all sign players)
  2. Player of the Year (Picked by the coaches)
  3. Players player of the Year (Picked by the boys)
  4. Sportsman of the Year (Picked by the coaches)
  5. Parents Player of the Year (Picked by the parents)
  6. Player of the tournament (Picked by everyone that went)
  7. Top Goalscorer (The player who scored the most goals)

The venue is the same as last season, Charlton Athletic Football Club (North Stand)
