Tesco - Every little helps.

Welling Wanderers have announced that the Welling Branch of Tesco will become the new sponsor for our under 7s team for the 2011/2012 season. The boys were presented with their shirts on Saturday 11th September by Welling Wanderers "old boy" Ian Gayle who played for us from under 9s to Under 14s. Ian recently signed professional forms for Dagenham and Redbridge.

Manjit Bassi, Tesco Community champion, commented: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our commitment to supporting local groups. I have seen how much fun all the children seem to have during training and hope that we can continue to support Welling Wanderers and other local groups.", "While Welling Wanderers are the first local group to be supported by our branch, we are committed to supporting a number of local groups within the Welling area."

The under 7s manager, Gurjut Ghag added: "We are pleased to have Tesco as a sponsor and all the children are looking forward to having lots of fun next year."
