Liverpool have completed the signing of teenage prospect and ex Welling Wanderers player Jordan Ibe from Wycombe.

Ibe, 16, shot to prominence this season, becoming the youngest ever player to represent Wycombe in the Football League and the youngest scorer for the Buckinghamshire club in its history.

After Playing for Welling Wanderers up to Under 10s, Jordan went first to Charlton and then Wycombe. After two superb seasons in the club's youth team, he burst onto the scene for the first team by scoring a superb goal against Staines in a pre-season friendly this summer.

Fifteen year old ex Welling Wanderers player Jordan Ibe scored his first goal for Wycombe Wanderers on the 29th October. 

Wycombe Wanderers team-mate, Ainsworth, 38, had made 116 career appearances before Ibe was even born.

Charlton "old boy" Ian Gayle who has recently signed professional forms for Dagenham and Redbridge took the time at the weekend to come back to present new shirts to our new under 7s team and to see his old club and answer questions from a number of the younger players.

While he may be recognisable from his current playing days, some may be interested to see what he looked like as a 11 year old. Ian is at the back, behind the keeper.

Welling Wanderers have announced that the Welling Branch of Tesco will become the new sponsor for our under 7s team for the 2011/2012 season. The boys were presented with their shirts on Saturday 11th September by Welling Wanderers "old boy" Ian Gayle who played for us from under 9s to Under 14s. Ian recently signed professional forms for Dagenham and Redbridge.
